other natural therapies
Dr. Udell and Dr. Haller use a variety of treatment modalities that complement homeopathic treatment when necessary. In some cases, one or more of these therapies will be used instead of homeopathy if they are better suited to the treatment of your health concerns.
clinical nutrition
Clinical nutrition is the use of food to promote health and well-being. This may involve designing a diet tailored to your individual needs, prescribing specific dietary supplements, or fasting when indicated.
lifestyle modification
Lifestyle modification is either the introduction of new habits that promote good health, or the elimination of other habits that are harmful to your health. Exercise, sleep, and stress management are all areas that may be addressed through lifestyle modification.
natural hormone therapy
Natural hormone therapy is the replacement of your body's natural hormones when they can no longer be produced in sufficient amounts by your body alone. It is sometimes referred to as bio-identical hormone therapy because it utilizes the exact same hormones that your body makes naturally. Examples include thyroid hormone, adrenal gland hormones, such as cortisol and DHEA, and reproductive hormones, including estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone.
physical medicine & manual manipulation
Manual manipulation is a bodywork therapy that helps restore the body's structural integrity and stimulate healing. It is based on the understanding that the body's structure and function are interrelated. Dr. Udell uses a very gentle form of manual manipulation developed by Dr. Samuel Blum. Dr. Blum was an extremely gifted chiropractor and healer who passed away in 2004 after dedicating more than five decades to improving the lives of thousands. This technique addresses problems of the muscles, joints, and internal organs, and is often effective where other manipulation techniques have failed. Dr. Udell is one of only two doctors who trained extensively with Dr. Blum and carry on his wonderful legacy.
botanical medicine
Botanical medicine is another term for herbal medicine and is the therapeutic use of medicinal plants.
